Performance Systems

Design a coherent way of working and plan the year so every week connects.

In sport it is called a game model: a shared way of playing that everyone understands. In business it is how your team makes decisions when you are not in the room. This course shows how to define your principles and plan the year in long, medium and short cycles so daily work adds up to something.

Who it is for

Owners and managers who want structure and priorities that hold across a whole year.

What you will learn

  • Define the principles your team decides by
  • Plan a year in long, medium and short cycles
  • Choose few enough priorities to actually finish
  • Review performance without turning it into blame

Models in this course

Each model has its own lesson, with an exercise you can use the same week.

Tuckman’s Team Model

Forming • Storming • Norming • Performing

Tuckman's Team Model shows that great teams do not become great by accident.

The Eisenhower principle

Important before urgent

The Eisenhower principle sorts work by two questions: is it important, and is it urgent?

I have spent my working life building teams — first in sport, then with managers and leaders in business. I teach the models I actually use, and the courses are built the way I would want to learn them: short lessons, clear structure, and something to apply the same week.
